Residents should be aware of upcoming temporary traffic impacts along SW 106 Avenue, just south of Griffin Road, as crews complete essential utility work to support the new Hanson Preserve development. This project will occur in two phases and will include both a lane closure and a full road closure on separate dates.

Phase One: Single Lane Closure (December 11–13, 2025)

A full road closure will take place from Monday, December 15 through Friday, December 19, between 4:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. During this time, crews will install two 8-inch by 8-inch water main taps and valves on the City’s water main, along with the necessary asphalt restoration required to complete the work.

Why This Work Is Needed

These improvements are required to connect the City’s utility system to the Hanson Preserve development and to ensure that the surrounding infrastructure continues to operate safely and reliably. While temporary closures are necessary to complete the work, they are scheduled during specific hours to reduce impacts on daily travel.

What Residents Should Expect

  • Traffic delays are possible during both phases.

  • Drivers should use caution in the area and consider alternate routes when feasible.

  • Access to nearby properties may be temporarily adjusted depending on construction activity, but crews will work to minimize disruptions.
