Cooper City residents are advised that a neighborhood road milling and resurfacing project is scheduled to begin Monday, July 27, 2026. The project will improve residential roadways in neighborhoods located along SW 90 Avenue, south of SW 50 Place, with all milling and resurfacing activities expected to be completed by fall 2026.
This roadway rehabilitation project is made possible through $536,396 in Broward County Transportation Surtax funding. The grant supports the rehabilitation of prioritized roadway segments to restore pavement quality, improve safety, and extend the service life of the City's roadway network. These improvements help mitigate roadway deterioration while providing a smoother and safer experience for residents, motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians.
What Residents Can Expect
Work is scheduled to take place Monday through Friday between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM. Throughout construction, access to homes and neighborhood roadways will be maintained, and contractors will keep at least one travel lane open at all times to minimize disruptions.
Residents are encouraged to use caution when traveling through work zones, follow all posted traffic control devices, and allow extra travel time while crews are working in the area.
The City appreciates the community's patience and cooperation as these improvements are completed to help preserve and enhance Cooper City's roadway infrastructure for years to come.
