We are adding art to street corners across Cooper City by wrapping utility boxes with designs that embrace our natural environment & community spirit. The first installation along Stirling Road and SW 90 Avenue features a monarch butterfly.

Keep an eye out as more of these colorful designs begin appearing throughout "Someplace Special."

🎉 Before the "Big Game," enjoy shopping, food and pre-game fun tomorrow, February 8th from 11 AM to 3 PM at Memorial Park for Cooper City's Farmers Market! Game day vendors will be participating with locally sourced dips, cheeses, meats, fresh salsa, dip, sweets and more! Music will also be pumping through the park, thanks to DJ Scuba Steve.

🚨 TRAFFIC ALERT 🚨 Griffin Rd / Flamingo Rd The traffic signal at Griffin Rd and Flamingo Rd is currently malfunctioning, with lights flashing red in all directions, causing traffic delays and backups. Deputies are on scene directing traffic to help alleviate congestion. Traffic Engineering is also on scene working to resolve the issue. Traffic pattern in effect: • All lanes in all directions will be through lanes only. (No left turns) If possible, please seek an alternate route and use caution if approaching the intersection.

Cooper City's Shred-A-Thon is taking place Saturday, January 31st from 1PM - 4PM at Suellen H. Fardelmann Sports Complex. At this event, Cooper City residents can safely dispose of sensitive documents.

IMPORTANT DETAILS📢
-Open to Cooper City residents ONLY (ID must show Cooper City address)
-Limit of two (2) boxes of shreddable documents per vehicle
-Boxes can be NO larger than 16"L x 12"W x 12"H

DRIVING DIRECTIONS🚘
-Must enter the sports complex via the Palm Avenue entrance
-There is no entrance to the shredding line via the Stirling Road entrance to the sports complex
-All participants will need to have ID verified prior to having any documents shredded.

Our Utilities Department has shut off the water valve around 2901 Cambridge Lane (Rock Creek Area) due to a suspected water leak. As of 11:30 AM, January 2, there is no water service to homes within the area. Updates will be provided as our team works to make the necessary repairs
